For over two decades I have photographed the nude not to expose but to transform \u2014 working with skin as landscape, architecture, relic, and light. The distortions in <em>Chimera<\/em> fiziksel aynalardan gelir. Bulan\u0131kl\u0131k <em>Motus<\/em> uzun pozlamadan kaynaklan\u0131r. \u0130\u00e7indeki pigmentler <em>Lucida<\/em> react to light in the room, not in software. This is not a rejection of digital tools but a commitment to presence \u2014 to being in the room when the image happens, to working with light and time rather than correcting them after the fact.\n\nThe work is not pursued as provocation. It is pursued as attention \u2014 a sustained looking that treats the body as the ground of perception itself, rather than as an object to be consumed.\n\n<\/section><section class=\"biography\">\n<h2>Biyografi<\/h2>\nBurak Bulut Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m (b. 1982, Istanbul) is a photographer and artist whose long-form practice investigates the body as medium \u2014 through light, in-camera optical intervention, material transformation, and spatial encounter. His work unfolds across a constellation of interconnected series developed over two decades.\n\nHis photographs have been shown in solo and group exhibitions across Europe, including <em>UnNude: Bedenin Mimarisi<\/em> Die Akt Galerie, Berlin'de (2025); <em>K\u0131yafet Kurallar\u0131: Hafif<\/em>, Die Akt Galerie, Berlin (2024); <em>Portreler<\/em>, Fogae Gallery, Z\u00fcrih (2025); <em>Eros &amp; Thanatos<\/em>, XVal Gallery, Barselona (2023); <em>Hareket Halindeki Bedenler<\/em>, Loosen Sanat Galerisi, Roma (2019); <em>Siyah I\u015f\u0131k<\/em> ve <em>Aceleyle<\/em> at Volksbank Gallery and Abraham-Gumbel-Saal, Heilbronn (2019).\n\nAlongside his individual practice, Y\u0131ld\u0131r\u0131m works as curator. His curatorial project <em>\u0130stanbul'un \u00c7\u0131plaklar\u0131<\/em> Temmuz 2026'da Berlin'deki Die Akt Galerie'de a\u00e7\u0131lacak ve \u0130stanbul'da \u00e7al\u0131\u015fan on d\u00f6rt foto\u011fraf\u00e7\u0131y\u0131 ISBN'li bir yay\u0131nla birlikte sunacak. Daha \u00f6nceki k\u00fcrat\u00f6ryel projesi <em>LandsNude<\/em> was presented at Artcore Gallery, Thessaloniki, in 2015.\n\nHis work has been reviewed by curator Michael Hanna for Aedra Fine Arts and featured in international photography publications. Selected works are held in private collections and available as limited edition archival prints.\n\nHe is a member of the German Portrait Photography Society (BPP) and holds the International Artist Card of the IGBK (Internationale Gesellschaft der Bildenden K\u00fcnste).
