In Turkey, political views and representatives from the government wing think that pregnant women should be just sitting at home. Their opinion which is often shared with the press is “If pregnant women are visible outside, that can be extremely disturbing”. I made this series of photographs by my artist friend Akasya As\u0131lt\u00fcrkmen pregnancy period in 2016. I wanted to show the daily life of pregnancy and that pregnant women can be visible everywhere, even if there is political pressure. In the appendix, you can also see the news sample of the unhappy with this visibility from the magazine press.<\/p>\n
