艺术家声明

As an artist working between Berlin and beyond, I use photography not to capture reality, but to reshape it. For me, the nude body is not a spectacle—it’s a language. Whether still or in motion, alone or in relation, I explore intimacy, desire, solitude, and transformation through a feminist and emotional lens.

I’ve spent nearly two decades creating hundreds of thousands of photographs, not in search of perfection but of presence. I am drawn to the unseen—those moments in between gesture and stillness, light and shadow. My camera is sometimes a mirror, sometimes a wound. The tension between the subject’s vulnerability and my gaze creates an image that breathes.

My practice is a kind of visual poetry: soft, raw, and provocative. I am not interested in answers. I want to create space for questions—about the body, about freedom, about who gets to look and who gets to speak.

Biography

I’m Burak Bulut Yıldırım—a photographer, educator, and curator of emotion. My journey began in Istanbul as an art journalist, but photography quickly took over as my primary language. In 2005, I opened my first studio. Since then, I’ve worked with global brands, led creative teams, and mentored over 5,000 photography students.

My work spans intimate portraiture, nude art, and performative photography. I’ve exhibited across Europe, and in 2019, I was named a Sony Europe Imaging Ambassador—a title I continue to hold. Today, I live and work in Berlin, but my lens travels anywhere truth can be found.

Yes, all prints are shipped from Berlin to anywhere in the world.

Do you frame the prints?
I currently ship unframed prints rolled in tubes. Framing is available upon request for Berlin-based clients.

How long will shipping take?
Typically 7–14 days within Europe, 2–4 weeks worldwide.

Are the prints signed?
Yes, all limited edition prints are signed, numbered, and come with a Certificate of Authenticity.
